Safeguarding
Concerns forms are used by volunteers, Jo reviews and decides next steps. We act quickly if anyone is at risk.
Volunteer Vetting & Training
Volunteers working with children/vulnerable adults have DBS checks (new checks planned as funding allows). Trainig includes food hygiene, safeguarding, H&S, manual handling, equality and more.
Complaints & Conduct
We encourage feedback. Disruptive behaviour may lead to being asked to leave a session; bans are rare and last resort.
Insurance
Public liability and Indemnity insurance in place (covers advice-giving).
Risk & Safety
No formal H&S risk assesments yet; completing these is a priority. We maintain logs and meeting minutes.
